1. In what cases and how should the Ombudsman of the Republic be contacted?

After contacting customer service and failing a satisfactory response within one month, the customer may contact the Tourism and Travel Ombudsman. Contact details and referral procedures are available on the website: www.mtv.travel.

In the event of a dispute between the professional and the consumer, the parties will endeavor to find an amicable solution. Failing an amicable agreement, the consumer may contact the consumer ombudsman responsible for the professional free of charge within one year of the written complaint sent to the professional.

The professional is required to provide the consumer with the contact details of the organization to which they are affiliated.

2. Telephone canvassing

According to Article L.223-2 of the Consumer Code: “When a professional is required to collect telephone data from a consumer, he informs him of his right to register on the list of opposition to telephone canvassing.” The customer can exercise his right to object to telephone canvassing by registering on Bloctel: https://www.bloctel.gouv.fr/
